DIRECTOR OF SALES - INTERNATIONAL
BLOCKHOUSE is seeking a driven and experienced sales leader to oversee and expand our international business operations. This role will focus on managing global partnerships, identifying new market opportunities, and growing revenue across regions including Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in the defense or tactical equipment space, understands government procurement channels, and is comfortable operating autonomously while staying closely connected to a collaborative internal team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage existing partnerships for WARQ and DEFILADE outside of North America with a focus on Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia, Australia, NZ
- Work with existing partners to support their requirements, strengthen relationships and grow revenues
- Support the introduction of new products, product updates, and newly acquired brands or companies into the BLOCKHOUSE network
- Collaborate closely with the internal team
- Troubleshoot and solve problems
- Help identify new market trends and opportunities
- Vet potential partnerships for strategic fit and help expand and strengthen our international vendor network
- Attend client meetings, demonstrations and trade shows
- Assist with procurement and end user development requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must reside in Europe. Ideally located 1-2 hours from an international airport/major hub
- At least 5 years experience in a similar role with a manufacturer or distributor in the Law Enforcement and military equipment industry
- Ability to create and manage sales strategies
- Comprehensive understanding of government procurement, contracting, distribution, and compliance
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Fluent English and at minimum one other language (French or German preferred)
- Ability to travel globally up to 50% of the year
- Team player mentality
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work autonomously
- Strong understanding of standard business software systems including CRM
- Salary: TBD, dependent on experience and qualifications
- Location: Remote-based, with regular international travel
